CHI KUNG , as a theory of traditional Chinese medicine , chi kung does not only refer to the medical issues but also has philosophical perspectives for martial art ( kung fu ) and other elements of Chinese civilisation
CHI means an active essence of living organism that fuels the physical body as well as the mental aspect . In general terms chi is thought of natural energy - power which stimulates body functions.
KUNG refers to cultivation, having a skill, mastering and achievement.
Consequently based on these two definitions, considering the combination of these terms ; chi and kung, if chi kung is translated mechanically, then chi kung means an exercise of energy, skill of energy, chi in practice.
In terms of learning - education, chi kung is an experience of practice. This could be internally and externally, therefore chi kung is not only a kind of knowledge or like a material to possess.
Moreover, practicing - learning chi kung form provides many positive things - advantages .
It promotes health, maintains well being, it could be a kind of medical treatment that cures or becomes preventive.
In short chi kung has the healing effects and safeguards the physical body state - the mental state
chi kung education is oriented by the relaxation, breathing and tailored specific movements. All movements are gentle, soft, slow, and continuous. There is no age limit, specially it is very good for aged people and for people with medical trouble.
Although many chi kung form exist and there are many different chi kung movements and practices, with some differences from master to master, from kung fu styles t o another or medical approaches. Fundamentally there are a few traditional chi kung forms as a source.

Regarding to kung fu tbx education of chi kung, it refers to mainly two traditional chi kung form, which is rooted - comes from ancient Chinese culture - traditional Chinese medicine . These two traditional chi kung forms which are still being used by traditional Chinese medicine are
1 – eight brocades form
2 – five animals form
In addition to two traditional chi kung form, tai chi ball form can be learnt
as a complimentary part of chi kung training.
tai chi ball practice is a part of chi kung training - , in addition to chi kung 8 brocade and 5 animal movements
