 Tai chi is one of most popular kung fu system world wide, unfortunately there is a misperc

 

INTRODUCTION 

    

Tai chi chuan is one of most popular kung fu system practiced world wide. 

tai chi chuan practice is  slow, gentle, relax, uncut and flowing. 

However this performance attitude  would not be slow and gentle at the actual fighting circumstances.


in general sense tai chi chuan form performance, which is not only linear forward and backward,  is  actually in  eight directions, This means as a defensive martial art , tai chi chuan has multi directional attacks, defence, counters  as well.


tai chi education -  study consist of  tai chi form, its applications,  tai chi weapons, chi kung, breathing, relaxation - meditation, variety of physical exercise, stance training


regarding to health,  tai chi can safeguards well being  both physically and mentally.  tai chi provides many positive elements to boost well being .


In general tai chi chuan has  been practiced  in two format.  in order to make it clear cut, understood well,  this   performance  attitude  can be classified as ;  

  

 1.  tai chi sport :  it is to practice  - learn tai chi chuan form as health oriented rather than its actual  martial art essence oriented. 


This  is  very suitable for old, medically troubled  people,  or this kind of training can be a personal choice  for well being or as a medical treatments as well.     


2. tai chi  chuan  :   traditional and  authentic,   this  is to study tai chi chuan form  with all martial art  aspects, then  just improve capability by pushing one's own limit.  this is with respect to its essence and organic oriented education

  A - wu dang tai chi chuan


wu dang tai chi is one of the oldest martial art system among all others. There are two different  wu dang tai chi styles thought at kung fu tbx 

1. wu dang  sang feng   tai chi chuan 

2. wu dang dao jia  tai chi chuan


  B - traditional tai chi  chuan styles.


In addition to wu dang tai chi,

it is possible to study  other four traditional tai chi chuan competition - short  forms  ;

CHEN - YANG - WU – SUN 

                             


  C -   tai chi chuan form 42 

this is a competition form,  based on the traditional tai chi styles ; chen, yang, wu, sun and a few wu dang kung fu 

 ( xing yi  )  elements


D - tai chi weapons


Each tai chi style has its own way of  weapons performance.  There are many different and common movements among them. Normally kung fu weapon's practice is a reflection – complimentary part of kung fu form.

wu dang masters tai chi

wu dang tai chi , which is one of the oldest tai chi style created by wu dang temple masters  - originated - inspired from  Taoist  kung fu master Zhang San Feng , this demonstration is performed by wu dang san feng natural kung fu master shan gui wen,   in  China 

chen tai chi - 56

Chen  tai chi short form practice by master wong , she, as an internal student, is one of wu dang san feng natural kung fu - tai chi  teacher in China.   

yang tai chi - 40

Yang tai chi 40 -  yang style short form is practiced very commonly in China, this is one of daily form practice by  wu dang san feng natural kung fu students at the temple.

wu tai chi - 45

Wu tai chi short form  45  - wu dang san feng natural kung fu students morning practice at the temple 

tai chi - 42

tai chi 42 , this form, as a competition form, is a combination of traditional tai chi styles ; chen - yang - wu and sun.  This is practiced as a foundation form for wu dang tai chi chuan
