rie kung fu

RIE kung fu style  content is in terms of holistic and relativity principles without any limitations of any particular martial art  perspective.

Fundamentally RIE  considers both practitioner and opponent frame of reference. This means to analyse any possible attacks - defence and counter attacks by using different perspective, rather than sticking one sort of principle or kung fu style - system.

Moreover this is to utilise  any external with internal or any internal with external and  to emphasise on physical and mental  state flexibility, also  energy – mechanical power  - force efficiency.

The performance, actions of the RIE form,  is from simple to complex, easy to hard, bottom to top approach

RIE form has many different punches, kicks, stances, attacks, defences, counter attacks, many sets of combat movements, as well as chi kung, breathing and relaxation ( meditation ) practice.

The complete form is in eight directions,

RIE  requires relaxed muscles and relaxed mental  state, not excited, not exaggerated, sort of meditative, concentrated state .

In action,  the  fluidity, connectivity between starting and targeted end is not broken and also broken, slow – fast, soft – hard  and heavy – light goes together.
